Our client is looking to recruit a Shipping Clerk to join their export team.

Reporting into the Shipping manager the selected candidate will oversee shipping operations for the Group, handling both import and export activities. Responsibilities include ensuring full compliance with customs and excise regulations and submitting declarations promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit declarations to customs, government agencies, shipping agents, Freeport, and port authorities;
  • Obtain and review import/export shipping cost quotations, providing reports to senior management to optimize cost efficiency;
  • Collaborate closely with clearing and forwarding agents, shipping companies, and internal teams to ensure prompt document clearance;
  • Maintain and update shipping records to facilitate the smooth processing of consignments;
  • Arrange, coordinate, and process courier shipments as needed.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an O’ Level education;
  • Previous experience in shipping and/or logistics;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Proficiency in computer applications and familiarity with internal systems;
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines
