Ready to embrace new challenges and advance your career as a Senior Risk Analyst? Our client is seeking a skilled professional to join their Risk Department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing risk analysis and management, ensuring compliance, and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies tailored to various risk categories.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk analysis and support the Risk Department’s analytical work.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and updating of risk models, risk metrics, and tools such as credit scoring and customer risk ratings.
  • Maintain and improve liquidity, credit, and market risk models, including simulations and stress testing.
  • Draft and review internal policies, procedures, and working instructions to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with compiling and submitting internal and regulatory reports, and participate in ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plan processes.
  • Help achieve objectives outlined in the Risk Plan and contribute to risk management projects.
  • Stay updated on key regulations, including CRR, CRD, EBA guidelines, IFRS 9, and MFSA rules.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to meet the Unit’s risk management objectives.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised, eager to learn, and team oriented. Essential qualifications include a degree in Financial Services or Statistics, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong analytical and multitasking abilities. You must be able to work independently with a high level of attention to detail. Knowledge of R-code and statistical software is a plus. Fluency in both Maltese and English, with excellent communication skills, is required.
