Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Finance Officer to join their team. In this role, you will support internal financial operations while collaborating with various stakeholders to provide insights, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to efficient financial processes.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the expense reimbursement process by preparing and reviewing the necessary supporting documentation;
- Record financial transactions accurately while maintaining proper supporting records;
- Prepare periodic deposits of cheques and cash in accordance with established procedures;
- Assist in responding to queries from clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders related to finance matters;
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, receivables, payables, and general ledger balances;
- Process supplier payments and ensure these are issued in a timely manner and in line with internal procedures;
- Prepare and issue periodic client invoices and account statements, as well as ad hoc invoices when required;
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to relevant authorities, including VAT, Social Security, and Inland Revenue;
- Prepare VAT returns and liaise with the relevant tax authorities when necessary;
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of monthly management accounts.
Experience & Requirements:
- MQF Level 6 qualification in Accounting or Finance, or currently in the process of completing ACCA studies;
- At least two years of experience in a finance or accounting role;
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant financial or accounting systems;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining professional and ethical standards;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
