Join our client’s dynamic team as a Senior Accounting Advisor, where your expertise will drive excellence in client portfolio management and financial advisory.
- Overseeing a portfolio of clients from various industries, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring exceptional service quality, efficiency, and satisfaction.
- Maintaining accurate accounting records for a portfolio of clients in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Preparing VAT returns, tax returns, and management accounts, as well as liaising with auditors as required.
- Managing workflows, workloads, and deadlines effectively.
- Leading projects or ad-hoc financial reporting tasks as assigned by management.
- Communicating with relevant authorities on behalf of clients.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for team members, providing guidance, reviewing their work, and promoting effective communication and motivation in alignment with the company’s vision and values.
- Supporting the onboarding process for new clients.
- Evaluating and suggesting improvements to systems and processes as needed.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accounting Advisor position should be ACCA qualified or hold an equivalent qualification, with at least two years of experience in a client-facing role, ideally within a CSP environment. They should be a positive team player, able to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, and fluency in an additional language is considered a plus. A good understanding of IFRS or locally accepted accounting standards is required, along with the ability to work independently and proactively within a team. The candidate should also be well-versed in Maltese VAT and tax legislation and demonstrate high integrity and risk awareness when handling confidential information.
