Our well-known client is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their Finance & Accounting team.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team servicing a predominantly international client base across a wide range of industries, in addition to private clients. This role is ideal for an individual seeking to expand their professional experience and take on a challenging and rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Managing day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, and ensuring all accounting records are accurate and up to date;
- Providing training, guidance, and support to junior members of the accounting team;
- Handling client financial and management accounting requirements;
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and ensuring compliance with all related VAT obligations;
- Preparing corporate income tax computations and submitting tax returns;
- Reporting regularly to management on financial matters and client portfolios;
- Managing a diversified portfolio of client companies
Experience & Qualifications:
- Be a fully qualified accountant;
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in English and Maltese;
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook;
- Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines while delivering a high standard of client service;
- Have a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant professional experience
