We are seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Sales Manager to join a growing automotive team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic sales environment, enjoy building strong client relationships, and are passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the brand while increasing customer awareness and product knowledge.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing all vehicle‑related queries before and during the sales process.
  • Present and explain vehicle features, conduct test drives, and support customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Manage all documentation related to vehicle sales and handle customer payments (cash or cheque).
  • Coordinate vehicle preparation and delivery, ensuring customers receive a thorough explanation of the vehicle’s interior, controls, and functions.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers and conduct regular follow‑ups on pending queries.
  • Handle and follow up on customer complaints related to the sales department in line with company standards.
  • Open and close the showroom, ensuring both the premises and vehicles are always maintained in excellent condition.
  • Report any cleaning or maintenance needs to ensure the showroom meets franchise standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to franchise guidelines and stay updated on all vehicle models, features, and new technologies.
  • Attend local and international training sessions as required and share product knowledge with the sales team.
  • Assist in organising and participating in new vehicle launches, motor fairs, and promotional events, including those held outside normal working hours.
  • Stay informed about the automotive market, competitor pricing, and marketing strategies to support the development of effective sales and marketing plans.
  • Support the Brand Manager and General Manager with budgets, business plans, marketing strategies, sales reports, stock ordering, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Attend meetings with franchise representatives and cooperate during quality audits to ensure full compliance with franchise standards.

 

Educational & Skill Requirements

This role requires a mature, confident, and reliable individual with an outgoing personality, strong sales flair, and the ability to attract and engage potential clients. Ideal candidates should have:

  • Sales management experience.
  • Experience in automotive sales (considered an asset).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Maltese and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Diploma‑level education.
