As a Quality Manager you will be responsible to guarantee effective and timely responses to customer quality whilst understanding the customer requirements to further develop effective quality control procedures.
Recognise & manage improvement projects targeted at top contributors to quality defects & variability.
Lead from the quality aspect by drafting and analysing reports, and participating & managing, in product & process qualification as well as Change control and material.
Support & lead internal & external cross functional investigations of identified failures detected at root cause by implementing preventive and corrective techniques.
Be able to provide support to Quality Controllers on site whilst safeguarding their ability through the necessary training.
Report inspected and tested data.
Accept or reject completed items, whilst opting for the removal of items which failed to conform with recognised specifications.
You hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related area and possess a minimum of 3 years of experience within food manufacturing operations or a related area. You are also familiar with Problem-Solving techniques – 8-D, 5- WHY, Fishbone/Fault Tree, FMEA and understand statistical methods such as SPC and DOE.
You also have the ability to learn new food processing technologies and determine critical food safety aspects alone or through consultation with internal / external experts as appropriate.
You are familiar with 5S methodology and continuous improvement processes and willing to work in an environment that is changing and improving, giving you opportunities to grow and develop.
