Our client is a well-known dynamic organisation operating within the transportation and logistics industry, who truly believes that each individual within the company compliments the company’s overall success. They are now in search of an QHS Manager to join their growing team.

Main duties:

  • Spearhead the formulation, orchestration, and supervision of strategic and operational blueprints geared towards enhancing health and safety protocols while minimizing incidents for employees, passengers, and fellow road users.
  • Collaborate with all departments, particularly Human Resources and the Training department, to ensure essential health and safety subjects are integrated into Company Induction, Departmental Induction, and Initial/Periodic Driver Training, and amend as deemed necessary.
  • Oversee the continual certification processes for diverse ISO standards, encompassing the formulation of correlated reports, managerial evaluations, and the pursuit of corrective actions for non-conformities.
  • Conduct requisite investigations into incidents to ascertain causality and pinpoint enhancements for risk mitigation.
  • Continuously evaluate data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and incident statistics to identify patterns, avenues for enhancement, training and growth prospects, as well as any preemptive or rectifying measures conducive to augmenting health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Conduct appraisals of business processes, both existing and novel, to ameliorate health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations throughout the organization to pinpoint segments warranting enhancements for risk mitigation, while monitoring the integration of recommendations by respective departments. Explore and advocate for the utilization of technology to curtail risks and elevate health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

We are seeking a candidate for the position who possesses a distinguished level of education with a specialized background in Health & Safety. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in employing Microsoft applications, specifically MS Excel and MS Word, and preferably hold an ECDL qualification. The successful candidate should exhibit a strong command of confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy, coupled with exceptional communication aptitude in both written and verbal forms, encompassing fluency in English and preferably Spanish.
