Role Overview
The Process Technician is responsible for converting raw milk into semi-finished and finished products by operating and monitoring production equipment. The role ensures that processes run efficiently while maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, and operational compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor equipment used in milk intake and processing, including pasteurisation, homogenisation, and separation, ensuring production targets are met;

- Ensure products are processed according to required specifications;

- Monitor and adjust key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates;

- Perform routine quality checks and take corrective action where necessary;

- Raise maintenance requests when issues arise;

- Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure food safety;

-Identify and report waste, investigate root causes, and suggest improvements;

-Manage stock of milk and ingredients using FIFO principles;

- Apply 5S principles to maintain an organised and efficient workspace;

- Collect and analyse production and process data;

- Handle raw materials and operate material handling equipment as required;

- Follow health and safety procedures and report any risks or unsafe practices;

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and communication;

- Participate in training activities, both as a learner and contributor;

- Carry out any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

- MQF Level 4 qualification or relevant experience in a similar role is considered an asset;

- Experience in manufacturing or food production environments is advantageous;

- Good understanding of production processes, equipment, and basic troubleshooting;

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards;

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability;

- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately;

- Proficiency in spoken and written English;

- Commitment to health and safety practices;

- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
