Our client, a licensed investment services provider, is seeking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Officer to join its Operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the business, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of client transactions, settlements, reconciliations, and administrative functions while maintaining the highest standards of service and regulatory compliance.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this position offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and allocate client income payments, including dividends and interest.
- Process client cash movements, settlements, and foreign exchange transactions.
- Execute purchase and sale orders with fund managers and other investment providers.
- Process subscriptions for new bond issues, IPOs, and other investment products.
- Manage client and provider settlements relating to subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers.
- Process internal transfers of cash and investment assets.
- Administer corporate actions, ensuring transactions are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
- Prepare and issue contract notes and related client documentation.
- Perform reconciliations of client holdings, cash balances, and operational records.
- Respond to internal and client queries relating to transactions and account activity.
- Maintain accurate records through system updates and ongoing data management.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the department and undertake additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an operations, administration, or financial services environment will be considered an asset.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
