Job Description: Network & Security Engineer
Main Role & Responsibilities
As part of a global IT team, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the organisation’s IP connectivity and infrastructure security across all regions.
Key duties include active participation in the following areas:
- Assist with system administration tasks — including requirements analysis, design, testing, installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning, firmware upgrades, backups, documentation, and contingency planning — across several areas of competence, such as:
- Internet and cloud technologies
- Wired and wireless data networks
- Network management and performance monitoring
- IT infrastructure security (endpoints, networks, applications, and cloud services)
- Software-defined security and networking in virtualised environments
- Authentication platforms
- Provide advanced support and escalation for IT security systems.
- Assist with specific infrastructure and security projects.
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as delegated by management.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in demanding, mission-critical environments and demonstrate a strong foundation in networking and infrastructure security.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- A degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant vendor certifications in networking and security technologies are highly desirable.
- Strong teamwork skills, initiative, and the ability to take responsibility and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to provide support outside standard office hours when required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
