One of our esteemed clients within the FCMG industry is looking for a Merchandiser within its business development department team to help boost product visibility, promote the company's brand, and ensure that its products are well-presented in supermarkets and retail shops. If you enjoy working independently, interacting with people, and making an impact, this role is for you!
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring our products are properly displayed, stocked, and stored at the right temperature.
- Checking product expiry dates and ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Promoting new products to stores and assisting with orders through distributors.
- Acting as a brand ambassador, answering customer questions, and providing great service.
- Occasionally conducting product tastings and in-store promotions.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in Maltese and English.
- Basic computer skills for simple reporting.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Physically fit and able to lift/move products as needed.
- A valid driving license and use of own car.
