Main Responsibilities

  • Formation and dissolution of legal structures in Malta, including assisting with the preparation and submission of closing documents and ancillary formalities.
  • Reviewing corporate governance documents, including minutes and written consents, memoranda and articles, powers of attorney, and similar documents.
  • Administration of legal structures in Malta, including opening bank accounts and processing payment and/or investment instructions.
  • Preparation and filing of documents with the Malta Business Registration and authorities in Malta.
  • Other related duties as may from time to time be reasonably required.
  • Works closely with the client relationship team and client accounting team to ensure the quality of client services.
  • Monitor progress and assist where required with acquisitions and reorganisation of client companies/structures.
  • Obtain the required KYC documents for compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact concerning corporate matters for clients, shareholders, advisors, and other interested parties.
  • Support the team on corporate matters.
  • Responsible for organising the work (quality and quantity) of the team to optimise team performance.
  • Monitor the team’s progress and act as its first point of contact for other related matters.
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager, Corporate to ensure adequate support for the operations overall, enabling the functional agenda and meeting local targets.
  • Keep informed of developments in local laws and regulations concerning Trusts, Company, Tax Law, and other relevant laws to ensure that the Group complies with the respective regulations for the country.
  • Uphold values by promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and equality.

 

The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of a Diploma in a relevant sector, with a tertiary qualification considered an asset, and has at least five years of relevant experience in the Trust and Corporate Services industry, accounting, tax, or audit sectors. They have a proven track record of managing portfolios for UHNW families and consistently exceeding expectations. As a strong team player within dynamic organisations, they excel at building bridges between stakeholders. They demonstrate leadership skills to effectively oversee and ensure smooth team operations, with a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards problem-solving. Their excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to mentor and train their team are essential. They think creatively and handle change proactively.
