Our well established company is seeking to engage a full-time Maintenance Technician mainly focusing on the daily running of the production plant.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the main duties and responsibilities are the following:-
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment following safety and maintenance protocols;
- Oversee mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including manufacturing equipment and refrigeration plant systems;
- Conduct scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, ensuring timely completion;
- Execute technical improvement projects and assist in new installations alongside routine maintenance and repairs;
- Perform diverse tasks to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment;
- Respond promptly to emergency repairs on production equipment during operations;
- Conduct regular inspections to detect and address machinery malfunctions affecting production;
- Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator and team members to troubleshoot issues and enhance production processes;
- Adhere to company policies, occupational health, and safety laws, working in a safe manner;
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices relevant to food processing;
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and update maintenance records diligently.
The preferred candidate should ideally have:
- A Higher Technician Diploma or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry;
- Valid electrical Licenses A & B;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to frequent changes in the production line;
- Proficiency in computer skills and fluency in written and verbal English;
- Resourcefulness and a strong drive to succeed.
