Our very well known client in the logistics sector is looking to recruit a Logistics Executive.
The Logistics Executive is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods. The role ensures timely deliveries, optimises supply chain processes, and maintains accurate documentation while supporting operational efficiency and cost control.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods;
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, transport providers, clients and warehouse teams;
- Quote and prepare and process shipping documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, customs documentation, airway bills and bills of ladings;
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or delivery issues;
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and company policies;
- Maintain accurate logistics records and update internal systems;
- Analyse logistics data to identify areas for cost savings and operational improvements;
- Support procurement and supply chain planning activities;
- Assist with negotiating freight rates and service agreements where and when required
Requirements
- A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, IATA qualification, or a related field;
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations (preferred);
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/ERP systems;
- Knowledge of customs procedures and international trade regulations is considered an asset;
- Speaks, understands in Maltese, English and another European foreign language;
- Driving licence (manual)
