On behalf of our client we are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator.
The Logistics Coordinator supports the day-to-day coordination of warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, movement, and issuance of stock using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Manage inventory levels and stock replenishment to ensure accuracy, availability, and efficient stock control.
- Oversee the order fulfilment process, from picking and invoicing through to dispatch, delivery, and returns.
- Plan and optimise delivery schedules and routes to maximise operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise and support warehouse and logistics teams, ensuring productivity and the effective allocation of resources.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and drivers to maintain high service standards and ensure smooth logistical operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and security procedures across all warehouse activities.
- Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately invoiced and processed in accordance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or a similar operational environment.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage multiple activities.
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and adapting to changing business needs.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
