Our client is looking to recruit a Learning & Development Executive to join their HR & Training team.
The Learning & Development Executive plays a key role in fostering a strong learning culture by delivering engaging training programmes, supporting team member growth, and ensuring high service and quality standards across the organisation. This is a hands-on role that requires strong presence on the floor, close collaboration with operations teams, and a genuine passion for developing people.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Orientation & Induction: Deliver onboarding programmes for new team members and lead structured induction activities to ensure a smooth integration;
- Training & Development: Plan, coordinate, and deliver training sessions aligned with business priorities, focusing on service excellence, compliance, and brand standards;
- Training Calendar: Design, update, and implement an annual training calendar that supports both operational needs and talent development;
- EU Funding Management: Coordinate funding applications and ensure accurate documentation for training initiatives supported by EU schemes;
- On-the-Floor Engagement: Provide hands-on support to operations teams by identifying learning opportunities, coaching staff, and promoting best practices;
- Performance & Quality Support: Work with department leaders to enhance guest satisfaction and quality scores through targeted training and feedback;
- Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate training records, track participation, and provide reports on learning outcomes to the HR Director;
- HR Project Support: Contribute to wider HR initiatives, promoting organizational values and a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in learning & development, training, or HR within hospitality or another service-driven environment;
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences;
- Knowledge of EU funding processes for training is an advantage;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong technical proficiency with MS Office, Canva, PowerPoint, and other tools used to design engaging training materials and internal messaging;
- Proactive, approachable, and hands-on, with the ability to connect with team members at all levels;
- Strong organisational, project management, and time management abilities;
- Fluent in English; Maltese or another European language is considered an asset
