Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting compliance investigations, gathering evidence, and preparing reports.
  • Liaising with stakeholders and government agencies.
  • Aiding in the enforcement of administrative and criminal law.
  • Analysing transactional data to identify suspicious activity.
  • Participating in internal meetings and committees.
  • Handling correspondence and maintaining the Case Management System.
  • Conducting on-site visits to gather information.
  • Assisting with data collection and other internal projects.
  • Representing the client at meetings and workshops.
  • Undertaking additional duties as assigned by management.

The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma (MQF Level 5) in Banking, Law, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an MQF Level 4 qualification within the same specialisations with three years of experience. Fluency in both Maltese and English is required. The candidate must have a strong understanding of the Use of Cash (Restriction) Regulations (SL 373.04) and other legislation related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI and i2 Analyst’s Notebook are essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical and report writing abilities, and a proven track record of competence, efficiency, leadership, ethical responsibility, and diligence are also crucial.
