Our client is looking to recruit and IT Support System Executive to join their IT team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide first-line response and resolution for technical issues reported via system alerts, phone, email, or in person across all company offices. Assist users with hardware, software, network, and other IT-related concerns;
- On-Call Support: Participate in scheduled on-call rotations to ensure critical IT service continuity outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays;
- Incident Management: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary;
- Hardware & Software Maintenance: Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems. Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance as required;
- User Support & Training: Provide guidance and training to users to improve proficiency with new systems, software, and tools;
- User Account Management: Create, update, and deactivate user accounts in line with organisational policies and security standards, ensuring appropriate access controls;
- IT Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals;
- Security Compliance: Support the enforcement of IT security protocols, policies, and procedures;
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor system and application performance, performing routine checks and maintenance to ensure optimal operation of IT systems and networks;
- Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal IT teams and other departments to resolve cross-functional issues, and liaise with external vendors when necessary;
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as required to meet business needs.
Experience & Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is preferred;
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, MCITP, or equivalent are considered an advantage;
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, routers, switches, and wireless technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues;
- Valid category B driving license
