An established organisation is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of reliable, secure, and efficient IT end-user services, infrastructure, and core systems. Reporting to the Head of Digital & Technology, this role plays a key part in maintaining high service standards while driving continuous improvement across IT operations.
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring stable day-to-day IT performance, delivering high-quality service, and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT service desk and IT Operations team, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests
- Provide hands-on technical support when required
- Oversee user lifecycle management, including onboarding, offboarding, and access control
- Identify and implement process improvements through new technologies and tool enhancements
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure, networks, and end-user services
- Manage infrastructure operations, including system monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery processes
- Oversee third-party IT vendors, service level agreements (SLAs), and overall service performance
- Support system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives while maintaining service continuity
Requirements:
- MQF Level 6 qualification in IT or a related field
- Proven experience in IT operations and infrastructure management, including a minimum of two years in a leadership role
- Service-oriented mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
