Our client is looking to recruit a Human Resources Officer to join their team. The HR Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support across all HR functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department. This role supports the full employee lifecycle, maintains HR systems and records, and serves as a key point of contact for HR-related queries while promoting best practices, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote a positive Health, Safety, and Quality culture while supporting compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within the HR Information System (Talexio).

- Administer the Time and Attendance system, including attendance, leave, shift schedules, and reporting.

- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, providing professional and confidential support to employees and managers.

- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.

- Prepare, issue, renew, and maintain employment contracts, outsourcing agreements, and other HR documentation.

- Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes.

- Support employee engagement initiatives, training programmes, and company events.

- Prepare and submit monthly HR reports and payroll-related information to Finance and other stakeholders.

- Manage work permit applications and renewals while liaising with relevant government authorities.

- Generate HR reports, metrics, and data analysis to support business decision-making.

- Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.

- Support the implementation and optimisation of HR systems, automation, and digital processes.

- Assist with audits, HR projects, and general administrative duties as required.

- Perform any other duties related to the role as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Previous experience in an HR Administration or HR Officer role.

- Experience using HR Information Systems (Talexio experience is considered an asset).

- Knowledge of Maltese employment legislation and HR best practices.

- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

- Strong time management and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.

- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach.
