Our client is looking to recruit an HR Executive to join their HR and Administration team. The HR Executive will be responsible for managing payroll, HRIS, and employee benefits, while also leading training and development initiatives to ensure accurate data handling, regulatory compliance, and the efficient execution of HR programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing in compliance with legal and company standards, and provide payroll data for accounting journal entries;
- Maintain and optimise the HRIS, including user access, system configuration, data reporting for HR and finance, and liaising with IT or vendors for troubleshooting or updates;
- Administer the company pension scheme;
- Manage training and development activities, including needs analysis, program design, coordination, delivery, and evaluation;
- Lead the onboarding and induction process for new employees;
- Maintain and update company organisation charts as needed;
- Prepare and submit NSO and other external surveys;
- Support the HR Manager in Annual Salary Reviews (ASR) and Short-Term Incentive Plans (STIP);
- Conduct annual skills and capability assessments to identify development opportunities;
- Develop and implement training programs using blended learning methods (e-learning, coaching, workshops, etc.);
- Handle training fund applications and track program effectiveness for continuous improvement;
- Contribute to general HR functions and perform administrative tasks as required.
Key Requirements:
- Educational background in Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration is considered an asset;
- Proven experience in payroll processing, HRIS management, and the coordination of training and development initiatives;
- Proficient in both Maltese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Solid understanding of employment legislation, payroll tax requirements, and regulatory compliance;
- High level of accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities;
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and proactively supporting both staff and organisational goals;
