Our client who operates in the retail is looking to recruit an HR Administrator. The selected candidate will be responsible for administering HR-related operations and projects, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the department. Serving as the first point of contact for HR-related matters, the HR Administrator will support both employees and external stakeholders.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including publishing job openings, handling applications, shortlisting candidates, and coordinating interviews;
- Prepare and process employment contracts, while ensuring timely collection and handling of all required recruitment and onboarding documentation;
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including induction sessions and orientation meetings;
- Administer single work permit applications for Third Country Nationals;
- Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation accurately, covering new hires, changes, and exits within the HR system;
- Handle day-to-day HR queries, providing guidance in line with current policies and procedures;
- Prepare HR reports and presentations for management as required;
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and employee benefits;
- Coordinate probationary reviews and performance appraisal meetings;
- Administer training programmes, including related processes and documentation;
- Review and update HR policies periodically;
- Stay informed on HR-related developments and best practices;
- Assist in planning and delivering employee benefits initiatives and staff events.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Able to perform effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines;
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Indigo Shireburn, with strong computer literacy;
- Solid understanding of Maltese employment law;
- Highly organised, skilled at prioritising tasks, and adept at problem-solving;
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
