Our high esteemed client is looking to recruit a Head of Sales within the Senior Management team.
The Head of Sales will lead the global sales team with a strategic focus, driving the efficient and effective distribution of the company's products to customers worldwide. This role is responsible for accelerating sales growth, optimising sales processes, and managing sales resources to support the company’s continued success in both existing and emerging markets.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Guide the global sales team in executing strategies to enhance market penetration and customer acquisition;
- Take ownership of and achieve or surpass annual sales targets across all company products and categories;
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand the global customer base and drive revenue growth;
- Foster strong, long-term client relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities;
- Track market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and potential risks;
- Provide strategic leadership to optimize sales operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness;
- Deliver timely sales forecasts to align supply chain operations with market demand for optimal product availability;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance sales operations, strengthening the link between sales and operations;
- Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions;
- Partner with the marketing team to align communication strategies with sales objectives and collaborate on Trade Shows and events;
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing commercial team across sales and operations;
- Offer strategic guidance and support to foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture within both teams;
- Establish clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives;
- Play a key role in shaping the overall business strategy by providing insights and recommendations that align sales efforts with company goals;
- Develop and oversee sales forecasts, budgets, and pipelines, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior management;
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales success, regularly monitoring progress and identifying areas for improvement;
Qualities & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in senior sales and sales operations roles, preferably within the FMCG or technical industries;
- Strong expertise in sales strategy, supply chain management, and delivering exceptional customer service;
- Proven leadership, hands-on approach, excellent communication, and negotiation skills, with a history of managing high-performing teams;
- Strategic mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and streamline processes for efficiency;
- Proficiency in ERP systems and relevant sales and operational technologies;
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate performance data and make informed decisions;
- Agile and results-oriented, committed to delivering exceptional customer service and operational efficiency;
- MBA graduate with proven experience in applying business management principles effectively;
- Willingness to travel frequently as required by the role
