Our esteemed client is looking to recruit a General Manager to join their company.

Overall Purpose:

The General Manager is responsible for expanding the company’s presence and driving sustainable business growth across the region through strategic leadership, ethical networking, and sound financial management. Key duties include achieving business targets, managing regional budgets, maximising sales and revenue, enhancing customer value, and ensuring service excellence.

The role oversees all regional operations, supports staff development, fosters operational efficiency, and strengthens client relationships to uphold and enhance the company’s reputation. The General Manager also ensures the development of a safe, ethical, and socially responsible work culture, while maintaining compliance with industry, legal, and company standards in quality management, training, and regulatory practices.

This position is supported by a dedicated Head Office team.

General Main Responsibilities:

- Serve as the regional representative, fostering the organisation’s presence and visibility;

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key legislative, commercial, and influential regional stakeholders;

- Drive revenue growth across the region;

- Develop, manage, implement, and report on regional budgets;

- Identify, create, and maximise business development opportunities within the region;

Oversee the recruitment, leadership, and professional development of regional talent;

- Coordinate and support the duties and objectives of regional staff;

- Collaborate with internal departments to align regional objectives, KPIs, and strategic initiatives;

- Ensure regional teams are adequately staffed with skilled personnel to meet current and future operational needs;

- Oversee the availability of necessary supplies and materials to support ongoing business activities;

- Evaluate and improve regional administrative systems for enhanced performance and efficiency;

- Safeguard, maintain, and account for all company assets and resources within the region;

- Promote a proactive Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) culture that protects personnel and assets;

- Facilitate efficient financial operations in coordination with the Finance Department, ensuring sound management of funds, debts, and cash flow;

- Maintain strong business relationships with suppliers and clients;

- Champion a culture of integrity and ethical conduct throughout the region;

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance regional performance; 

- Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures; recommend new policies or improvements where necessary;

- Act as the primary escalation point for regional issues and proactively address emerging challenges;

- Keep executive leadership informed of key regional developments and commercial insights;

- Prepare and deliver regular reports on regional progress, challenges, and recommendations;

- Undertake additional duties as required to support business operations, within the scope of the role and capabilities.

Qualifications:

Graduate in Project Management, Engineering, Business Management or similar 

Experience:

- Proven experience in C-Suite level;

- Track record of managing and overseeing significant budgets effectively;

- Extensive experience in coordinating diverse regional operations and internal departments at a senior management level;

- Proven expertise in managing operations across multiple international sites;

- International project management experience encompassing operations, finance, and business development functions;

- Strong background in developing and executing business strategies and performance improvement initiatives within a global context;

- Preferably possesses senior management experience
