Our growing client is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, performing required reconciliations, and ensuring ongoing adherence to internal control procedures. The role requires the ability to work to strict deadlines as set by management..
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily recording of financial transactions and ensure ledgers are kept accurate and up to date;
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting;
- Carry out reconciliations as instructed;
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments efficiently and accurately;
- Manage an assigned accounts payable portfolio;
- Provide support during month-end and year-end closing activities;
- Ensure proper documentation, organisation, and filing of all financial records;
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers when required;
- Undertake additional accounting duties as assigned by senior team members
Experience & Qualifications:
- Be proficient in accounting techniques and hold an A-level in Accounting or substantial accounting experience;
- Be self-motivated; show initiative and capable to work independently under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, under minimal supervision;
- Possess good communication skills;
- Be ICT literate;
- Be able to work within a team,
- Be systematic and familiar with problem-solving methodologies
