Our esteemed client is looking to recruit a Finance Manager within their finance team.

The candidate shall oversee the daily financial and payroll operations for the company. This key role is essential for maintaining the company's financial stability, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and delivering precise financial reporting. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to strategic financial planning.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, cash flow management, and general ledger upkeep;
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and cash flow projections;
  • Ensure precise and timely financial reporting in accordance with local regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS);
  • Assist the Head of Finance in preparing budget forecasts and conducting financial planning activities;
  • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and offer actionable insights to management;
  • Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of employee salaries, benefits, and tax withholdings;
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and tax regulations related to payroll processing;
  • Work closely with the HR department to maintain employee records, manage attendance, and address any payroll-related inquiries or concerns;
  • Design, implement, and uphold strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting;
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and external legal obligations;
  • Perform regular audits and evaluations to identify potential risks and implement necessary corrective measures;
  • Oversee company cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity and efficient operations;
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to handle banking operations and secure favorable terms;
  • Supervise treasury activities, including cash forecasting and investment management;
  • Lead and oversee the finance team, offering guidance, training, and opportunities for professional growth;
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence within the finance department;
  • Perform regular performance evaluations and deliver constructive feedback;
  • Work closely with various departments to offer financial insights and aid in decision-making processes;
  • Contribute to the assessment and implementation of financial systems and software upgrades to enhance operational efficiency;
  • Assist in strategic projects and initiatives as needed by senior management.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable;
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance management, preferably in the aviation or logistics sectors;
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing payroll operations and financial reporting;
  • Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems, such as Sage;
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools;
  • Understanding of tax laws, VAT, and payroll regulations;
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of interacting across all levels of the organization;
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

The role offers a package of 40K with 10% performance bonus amongst other perks.
