StreetHR is thrilled to be representing a highly reputable corporate firm, that is looking for a Corporate and Compliance Officer to lead their small yet excellent team. This client is looking for an experienced individual in both respective areas, to supervise a junior compliance team member and work directly with the Managing Partner, and the Tax and Legal department. 

What will you be doing? 

Due to the role being focused on both corporate and compliance duties, your responsibilities will vary and may include the following: 

  • Register online the M & As of the companies;
  • To fill and submit any forms required to the MFSA;
  • Opening of bank accounts in Malta and do the necessary KYC documentation for the bank and customers profile;
  • Submit Micro Invest Applications with the Malta Enterprise;
  • Applying for Tax Refunds with the assistance of the Tax Partner;
  • KYC documentation and due diligence procedures on onboarding and client, enhanced due diligence, and subsequent due diligence of clients;
  • Carry out the necessary world checks of clients, UBOs Directors and other officers;
  • Ensure that the LEXCO software is updated by all other officers including and but not limited to: Compliance Section/Accounting Section/Audit Section/Taxation and Advisory section;
  • Submitting documentation to the FIAU such as Annual returns and other compliance documentation.

Who are you?

Due to this role being supervisory in nature, it is imperative that the candidates have significant experience in both corporate and compliance matters in Malta, preferrably within a customer-facing environment. Candidates with a relevant qualification, even a law degree will be preferred however this is not necessary.
