Our client is looking to recruit a Client Accounting Manager to join their team within their finance department. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of accountants, fostering strong communication and motivation aligned with the company's values and goals;

- Provide expert guidance on accounting and VAT matters, acting as the go-to person for team members and reviewing their work when necessary;

- Oversee and drive key accounting projects from planning to completion;

- Support the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless and professional experience;

- Supervise the team’s daily operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high levels of client satisfaction;

- Monitor team performance and participate in setting and evaluating individual and team targets;

- Manage workloads and deadlines to ensure smooth and timely delivery of services;

- Mentor and support team members in their professional development and career growth;

- Collaborate with departments such as audit, payroll, funding, and corporate services to identify and act on cross-functional opportunities;

- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to systems, workflows, and internal processes;

- Identify opportunities to support the unit’s growth and contribute to strategic planning;

- Assist the Senior Client Accounting Manager with various tasks as needed.

Key Skills & Attributes

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines;

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Maltese; knowledge of an additional language is considered an asset;

- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;

- Strong client relationship skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications & Experience

- ACCA qualification or equivalent;

- At least 2 years of experience in a Corporate Service Provider (CSP) environment post-qualification;

- Solid understanding of accounting standards, Maltese VAT, and tax legislation
