Our client is looking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their team.
The Client Accountant is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, maintaining strong relationships and high service standards;
- Ensure accurate accounting records in line with applicable standards;
- Prepare VAT returns, tax returns, and management accounts; liaise with auditors and authorities;
- Manage workloads, deadlines, and assigned projects or reporting tasks;
- Support and review team members’ work, acting as a key point of contact;
- Assist with client onboarding and identify process improvements and growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- ACCA qualified (or equivalent);
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a client-facing role, ideally within a CSP environment;
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset);
- Good knowledge of IFRS/local standards, Maltese VAT, and tax legislation;
- Proactive team player with high integrity and strong organisational skills;
- Comfortable using digital tools; experience with Xero is an advantage.
