Our esteemed clients are looking to recruit an HR Officer. The chosen candidate will handle payroll processing, onboarding of new employees, assist with employee records management and support day-today- HR operations and promote employee well-being.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

HR & Payroll Administration Responsibilities

  • Assist in payroll preparation and processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments in collaboration with all parties involved;
  • Maintain accurate records of sick leave, overtime, and supervision, ensuring timely submission to the payroll contractor;
  • Administer payroll data verification, reconcile payroll refunds, and review financial reports;
  • Handle documentation and approvals for the entities and other regulatory bodies, including employee records and termination processes;

Employee Onboarding & Records Management

  • Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new employees receive required training, contracts, and documentation;
  • Maintain and update personnel files, including employment records, terminations, and changes in employee details;
  • Manage Jobs Plus engagement and termination records, ensuring data accuracy;
  • Track and report HR metrics, including employee performance, attendance, and retention trends;

Recruitment & Employee Relations

  • Lead recruitment efforts, from job postings to interview coordination and hiring;
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess staffing needs and maintain strong relationships with universities and recruitment agencies;
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies;
  • Process FS4 and FS3 requests, maternity/parental leave, and pre-retirement calculations.

Policy Compliance & Employee Well-being

  • Ensure HR and payroll policies comply with legal and regulatory standards, assisting with policy updates and staff training;
  • Develop employee engagement programs, well-being initiatives, and team-building activities;
  • Support professional development and staff recognition programs;
  • Facilitate open communication between staff and leadership to promote an inclusive and positive workplace culture.

Administrative & Support Duties

  • Assist the entity with administrative and accounting responsibilities as required.
