Our client is looking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer to join the Senior Management Team.
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the group’s operations, ensuring strong budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and risk management. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who is as comfortable getting into the detail as they are leading a team. Strong communication skills, a passion for technology, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the finance function across the group of companies;
- Actively contribute to the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow;
- Manage and enhance cash flow to maintain financial stability and support efficient operations;
- Produce accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reports for both internal use and external stakeholders;
- Deliver financial insights to support strategic planning, investment evaluation, and key business decisions;
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement;
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and external advisors;
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and improved efficiency within financial systems and processes;
- Ensure adherence to all applicable financial regulations, standards, and internal controls.
Requirements:
- Possession of a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA);
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a group structure or family-owned business;
- Background with a Big 4 firm is considered a significant advantage;
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cash flow oversight, financial reporting, and team leadership;
- A hands-on leader who balances attention to detail with the ability to inspire and guide a team;
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with family business stakeholders, senior leadership, and external partners.
