An established organisation is seeking a senior executive to lead its digital transformation efforts and oversee the development and execution of its information technology strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring that digital technologies and data become central drivers of growth, efficiency, and innovation across all business units, including production, distribution, marketing, sales, and retail operations.
The successful candidate will define and deliver a secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology roadmap, ensuring that the company’s data assets, systems, and infrastructure effectively support strategic goals and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams, this individual will align all digital and technological initiatives with the organisation’s overall business direction.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Transformation & Data Strategy
- Lead the organisation’s digital transformation agenda through process automation, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
AI Strategy
- Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, decision-making, and customer experience.
Strategic IT Management
- Support senior leadership in executing the IT strategy and shaping the infrastructure roadmap.
- Monitor emerging technologies and recommend initiatives with clear business value.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure—including servers, networks, databases, and data centres—to ensure reliability, scalability, and optimal performance across the organisation.
Governance, Compliance & IT Strategy
- Develop and enforce IT policies, governance frameworks, and compliance practices that ensure transparency, operational integrity, and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the company’s IT governance framework to maximise strategic impact and organisational alignment.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage operational budgets effectively and ensure efficient allocation of resources across IT functions.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or digital transformation, ideally within complex, multi-site, or regulated environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with demonstrated ability to build effective cross-departmental partnerships.
- Strategic mindset, passion for innovation, and a proven record of delivering measurable business results.
