Our esteemed client seeks a dynamic Assistant Manager HR & Administration to help lead their team effectively in line with company goals, focusing on performance reviews and employee relations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the recruitment and selection process, including advertising job openings, screening applications, assisting departments with scheduling tests and interviews, and informing applicants of selection outcomes.
  • Conduct employment reference checks and address any concerns regarding the selection process.
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly payroll by inputting relevant data, calculating payments, issuing reports, processing bank transfers, and verifying journal vouchers.
  • Develop and enforce personnel policies aligned with the company’s long-term strategic objectives.
  • Maintain and update personnel records and data accurately.
  • Conduct surveys to assess job satisfaction and working conditions among employees.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, either through disciplinary proceedings or appropriate actions.
  • Identify employees suitable for promotion and facilitate the process.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations by all employees.
  • Supervise day-to-day administrative activities and ensure efficient servicing of the company’s administrative needs.
  • Take charge of HR and administrative matters during the absence of the HR Manager, exercising initiative and judgment to minimize disruptions.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and stay updated with industry journals to keep abreast of current trends and legal requirements in human resources.
  • Direct and plan maintenance works necessary for the upkeep of company premises, whether seasonal, regular, or otherwise.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies at all times.
  • Perform any other duties consistent with the HR & Administration role as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or other superiors.

 

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Manager HR & Administration role should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office applications, and the ability to work well under pressure while meeting deadlines. They should demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a hands-on attitude, along with effective planning and organisational abilities. Knowledge of research methods and policy formulation, along with independence, cooperativeness, attention to detail, and sensitivity to staff issues and well-being, are also essential attributes.
