Our client in the hospitality industry is currently seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join their team! The selected candidate will be reporting to the General Manager and the Financial Controller, and assist in the management and daily operations of the accounts department.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising the accounts department alongside the Financial Controller.
- Carry out general accounting duties.
- Review the monthly finance functions and entries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
- Assist in drafting budgets, tax returns, and other required reports.
- Prepare all reconciliations.
- Delegate work to achieve an efficient and effective distribution of the teams’ workload.
- Provide input in ways to improve the current company processes.
Requirements:
- Fully-qualified Accountant, or in the final stages of qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Sound understanding of accounting and financial processes (such as budgeting and month-end reporting).
- Fluent in both Maltese and English language.
The company offers notable additional benefits, such as flexi-time and health insurance. Salary bracket of €40,000 - €45,000 being offered.
