Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborating as necessary with Gaming Licensees, various departments within the organisation and other regulatory bodies concerning AML/CFT matters.
  • Assisting in the review of Gaming Licensees' documentation related to AML/CFT, such as Risk Assessments, Customer Acceptance Policies, and AML Policies and Procedures.
  • Acting as the supervisory officer to conduct AML/CFT examinations on Gaming Licensees, independently or in collaboration with other organisations, to assess compliance with the Prevention of Money Laundering and Funding of Terrorism Regulations.
  • Supporting the AML Senior Executive and AML Executive in preparing reports on findings from AML/CFT examinations.
  • Organising and maintaining examination files according to the AML Unit’s record-keeping policy.
  • Evaluating applicant MLROs to assess their competence and suitability for the role.
  • Undertaking any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

 

The ideal candidate should possess a Degree or equivalent MQF Level 6 qualification (consideration will be given to Diploma or equivalent MQF Level 5 if accompanied by relevant experience). They should demonstrate strong analytical and investigative skills, proficiency in report writing, and the ability to articulate findings effectively in both written and oral formats. Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written, is essential. A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar role is required, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment. The candidate should show a proactive approach and take ownership of tasks. Additionally, a thorough knowledge of AML/CFT laws and regulations applicable within the EU and Malta is crucial.
