Our client is looking to recruit an Accounts Specialist to join their Accounts team. This role supports the Accounts Department in maintaining the company’s financial stability. Responsibilities include a broad range of tasks, such as coordinating with suppliers and auditors and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate is organised, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

- Ensure timely posting of all vendor invoices and credit notes;

- Prepare vendor reconciliations and investigate any outstanding discrepancies;

- Compile supporting documentation for advance or one-time payments;

- Execute regular vendor payment runs in accordance with the payment schedule;

- Monitor invoice workflows to ensure approvals are obtained in line with the Delegation of Authority policy;

- Assist in the preparation of regular accounts payable reports for management review;

- Post transactions to reconcile and clear vendor payment suspense accounts;

- Support annual statutory audits and internal audits as required;

-Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and statutory requirements;

- Perform any other related duties as assigned, consistent with the role’s level and responsibilities

Key Requirements & Competencies:

- Preferably holds an MQF Level 4 qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field;

- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position is preferred;

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate to advanced level);

- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities;

- Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills;

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively;

- Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines;

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision;

- Eager to expand knowledge and continuously develop professionally.
