Our client is looking to recruit an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their Finance & Accounting team.
This role is responsible for generating invoices, posting payments, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate and timely processing of receivables. The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and will also liaise directly with customers regarding payment inquiries, maintain accurate financial records, and collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness;
- Record and post customer payments, ensuring they are applied correctly and promptly;
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers and maintain up-to-date records;
- Maintain accurate documentation of invoices, receipts, and related transactions;
- Communicate with clients regarding payment inquiries, resolve disputes, and ensure timely collections;
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and other departments to ensure adherence to company procedures;
- Prepare monthly reports related to receivables and other finance-related duties.
Requirements;
- An A-Level in Accounting will be considered an asset;
- Previous experience in accounts, finance, or a related field is preferred; experience in subcontracting or vendor payments will be considered an advantage;
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations relevant to receivables;
- Familiarity with Shireburn Financial Manager or ERP systems is an asset;
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
- Must hold a European passport or valid work permit for Malta.
- Clean police conduct certificate (to be presented).
