Our client in Gozo is looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their team.
The Accounts Clerk is required to manage the following duties & responsibilities:
- Processing and posting sales and purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner;
- Preparing and executing payment runs;
- Recording customer receipts and following up on outstanding balances;
- Maintaining cashbook records and carrying out regular cash reconciliations;
- Performing periodic bank, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations;
- Supporting month-end closing procedures;
- Maintaining organised and up-to-date filing systems;
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts;
-Compiling reports and carrying out monthly calculations as required by management
Experience & Qualifications:
The candidate should be in possession of an Advanced Diploma in Accounting/AAT, or attained an A Level in Accounts, be user friendly in MS Office Applications and have good communication skills.
Working hours are from Monday to Friday 08:00 to 5:00pm including1hr break.
With the exception during the summer months, (14-week), mid-June to mid-September, working hours are from 08:00 to 4:00pm including 1hr break and Saturdays from 07:30 to 12:30.
