Our client is looking to recruit an Accounts Administrator on reduced hours (up to 30hours) to join their Finance and Admin team.
The selected candidate will form part of the Accounts Team and will support the department in carrying out a variety of accounting and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a wide range of general accounting and processing tasks within the Accounts Department;
- Collect and process donations, issue receipts, and oversee the donations process;
- Maintain and update student and donor records for donation purposes;
- Post entries and update accounting data within the accounting software/system in use;
- Support the processing of payment requests and ensure timely payments to suppliers and creditors;
- Compile and process data related to the Accounts Department and present as required;
- Assist in purchasing office supplies and arranging necessary services, support, and equipment maintenance in consultation with the Accounts Team Lead;
- Maintain records, schedules, files, and rosters related to departmental operations;
- Handle the receipt, recording, and processing of cash transactions, including fundraising income, and prepare deposits;
- Assist with petty cash management;
- Maintain a proper filing system for financial transactions and other departmental data;
- Update inventory data;
- Provide support in payroll procedures when required;
- Assist with maintaining attendance registers for domestic and maintenance staff;
- Assist in recording sick leave for all personnel;
- Carry out any other duties compatible with the role, as directed.
